By definition of the oxford dictionary:
Family /ˈfam(ə)li/

1.1 A group of people related by blood or marriage:
“friends and family can provide support”
“I could not turn him away, for he was family”
What is family?
Each as individuals, we live in our minds an ideal life – how we perceive the better version of ourselves, what we hoped we would achieve.
Not everything we dream is our reality when we wake up each morning.
But what we do wake up to each morning, is our family – our loved ones.
By definition, this group under the same roof should work as a unit. But not just for the blood that runs in our veins but for the love that fills our hearts.
When 4 individuals with different minds, dreams and disappointments come together, the only thing in common is love. If our differences come between us, regardless of how much love there is, it is not felt. It is not visible. For each one perceives love in their own way.
When I grow up and when I become a parent and start a new family, the only comparison I have is to my own family. I can’t foresee what it would be like.
All the memories I would have, are what we have now. They’re the memories that count.
My only dream for us – that can still come true- is that we value our time together. We don’t know where our roads are going to lead. I dream that we create fonder memories – more laughter and more joy.
Compromise is key. The only key that can open the door to love.
This picture isn’t mine. Not sure who’s it is, but it calms me. Thank you.
In hope for brighter days ahead.
